| This course is designed to be a follow-up to Sociology 261 and Sociology 262. Using a student-designed curriculum plan, we will revisit some of the issues we first examined a year ago, in the earlier courses, in light of other experiences and courses taken subsequently. The course will be a seminar, meeting weekly throughout the semester. Topics will include: orientalism, postcolonial theory, and issues of development and modernization (Same as Sociology 309). | |
